You may be in the same hotel, but it's not always easy to get a hold of the busybodies at Cennet. See if you can catch them by giving them a call, sending an e-mail, or dropping a note.
Whether you're just arriving or waving good-bye to Cennet, this is where the people are coming and going. It's the largest area of the indoor complex, fabulously elegant and luxurious, with a huge skylight, plants everywhere, and helpful staff at your beck and call.
The hotel has it's very own spa, where guests can come to be pampered! It's one of the few things that's not all-inclusive, even for staff, and every treatment must be paid for in Lira or Euros.
Every hotel needs it's own shop, and this one sells anything a guest could have forgotten to bring with them; inflatables, sun block, swimming costumes... All at a reasonable price, of course, just for you.
One of the hotel's four bars, and the largest. As an all-inclusive site, no money is handled here, but lots of drinks are dished out--alcoholic and non-alcoholic. It's a favourite haunt of the management team.
The main restaurant is never empty, with meals and snacks provided all day long. The main dining area is host to a theme every evening, ranging from Caribbean to Turkish to Italian.
The Snackhut is located on the beach area of the hotel, and is as it sounds: a small thatched hut which provides cool drinks in the baking heat and various barbecue style foods. It's not often used for dining for meals, but guests will often grab a hot dog or burger here during the day.
The Atlantis is the hotel's pool bar; it is located beside the main pool. It features a sizable seating area and a stage to the left, with the bar on the right. In the evening, live music is performed here. This bar is the favorite haunt of the entertainment team.
Sport & Snack is the hotel's answer to the needs of those guests and staff teaching or doing an activity. This is a bar and grill beside the tennis courts and archery range. It's rarely used except between the classes, and as it's less frequented, the maintenance staff like to sneak a drink here.
The accommodation at Cennet is second-to-none. The rooms come decorated in Turkish-fused-with-modern and African styles. The rooms are kept spotlessly clean, and each have a mini-fridge, kettle, satellite television and phone.
The hotel contains six top-price suites, the most expensive being the Penthouse located on the eighth floor. In addition to the basic of the other rooms, suites have an adjoining kitchen with an oven and stove, microwave, cupboards and a full size refrigerator, and a dining area, along with more spacious bathrooms. These rooms are for the best of the very best...
The hotel staff who are not local are provided with apartments adjacent to the hotel. These are similar in decor to the rooms, but with their own kitchenettes in addition to larger bathrooms and extra storage space. These apartment blocks are very agreeable, and on the staff's days off, they can become a little wild at night!
The sports are one of the key pulls of the hotel, and the staff works hard to maintain a high standard of instruction and friendliness in its instructors.
The hotel is big on entertainment. It has its own amphitheater, located at the front of the hotel, as well as its own disco (strictly eighteen and over, of course). Other events such as live music happen at the pool or beach bars.
The hotel provides scheduled classes for dance, aerobics & step aerobics and tai-chi. These all take place in the dance studios, located in a building beside the main pool.
For guests wishing to soak up the sun, the Beach has rows of sun loungers and large straw parasols to protect from the midday heat. The beach has fine white sand and crystal blue waters, in which guests frolic in the sun. At night, being in close proximity to the Snackhut, many couples take a romantic stroll along here.
There are two pools; the main pool and relaxation pool. Both pools are spotlessly clean, and are, during opening hours, never empty. The pools are surrounded in sun loungers and parasols for those hard-core sunbathers.
Antalya is the local town. The center is a fifteen-minute bus or taxi ride from the resort, and has a collection of shops that sell anything from souvenirs to clothing to food. There are even a few clubs, as well as a pretty marina where people can go out on boat excursions.
